Perspective

I’ve removed a post I published last night. It was silly.

  1. John, I for one as a poster on Popehat hope you are always welcome there and think you will be. Sometimes it is uncomfortable to be on the receiving end of a prick to one’s conscience but I think both the owners of the blog and the regulars have enough intelligence and humility to know that. You strike me as a person whose last name is not so very different from what you really are in real life. The high road is always the best road.

I read a comment I believe recently from you regarding a case that had been reversed against someone innocent, and the what I can only imagine, crushing disappointment that the principles our nation were founded on do not always find their way into the hearts and actions of those in power. I hope you look on the experience as a test of fortitude and continue to plow on under the right and good cause.

On another point, I don’t care what anyone says about Tolkien, his political proclivities, or otherwise, sometimes a good read is just that, a good read.

Stick around I enjoy hearing from you.

Thanks Jess! I really appreciate you stopping by and your comment, which I think is right on the mark, on all levels. My comment over there was kind of silly and deserved the little smackdown it got.
