I wholeheartedly seconded the condemnation in a comment, but noted, contrarian that I am, that a criminal defense lawyer might have a real ethical dilemma on his hands if he learns that his client is actively involved not in a drug ring but in a sex slavery ring. Another commenter suggested that if that’s what I thought I had no business representing people accused of crimes. But I think the actual Rules of Professional Conduct support me on that. […]
